WHAT IS HOLISTIC HEALTH?

A holistic approach to health involves focusing on all different aspects of an individual's wellbeing and not just their physical state. This approach also considers their spiritual, emotional and energetic wellbeing. 
Although allopathic medicine has greatly advanced in the last several decades, it still has the drawback of only treating health conditions based on individual symptoms of a specific illness rather than the individual's whole system. In other words, we live in the world of crisis care. Allopathic medical professionals usually step in when there is crisis in the body that needs to be dealt with and they are trained to address and treat specific symptoms only.
The holistic approach to health is superior because it looks at the whole body using a variety of alternative health practices. This approach is focused on the prevention of disease as well as maintaining a state of homeostasis in the body, where body is in perfect balance and every organ and system perform at optimum level.
These alternative healthcare practices can include; acupuncture, yoga, massage, therapy, herbalism, tai chi, energy healing, etc. These healthcare practices can restore the total health of the individual and enable them to enjoy a truly healthy life.

Mindset

A positive mindset is one of the keys to living a happy and healthy life. Every thought is a vibration and each time a thought crosses our mind, it programs the body to manifest itself into reality of either a healthy body or a disease. If a lot of negative thoughts are crossing our mind and these thoughts are about disease, being unhappy, being unable to lose weight or being very critical about ourselves – it will be almost impossible to achieve a state of perfect health.
Thoughts are vibrations and they determine the state of your health

For the very least, it will be very hard to stay motivated and positive when the mind vibrates at such low level. On the other hand, if we raise vibratory frequency of our thoughts and we fill our mind with positive thoughts of love and appreciation, it will be much easier to make healthy choices when it comes to food, fitness, ourselves and people around us.

Just like we believe in bio-individuality when it comes to fitness, it also applies to our approach to nutrition. We don’t believe that there is one perfect diet for everyone and that the same set of foods will work for every single person. At the same time, we do believe that minimizing intake of processed foods and increasing intake of raw fruits and vegetables and other detoxifying foods will be highly alkalizing and healing to the body. These high vibration foods be supporting body’s return to the homeostasis and the state of perfect health. That journey, however, will look different for everyone and would like everyone to explore it on their own terms and timeline.

Recovery

Physical movement can only have so much benefit if it’s not supported with proper recovery. Sleep is one of the most important components of recovery. If you not are giving yourself 7 hours of daily high-quality sleep, it doesn’t matter how much broccoli you are eating and how much exercise you are getting, most likely your body will not be able to arrive to the state of homeostasis and perfect health. Some people benefit more from adding more relaxation into their life vs from adding exercise.

Spirituality

Spirituality does not necessarily mean religion. Although both phenomena are closely related, spirituality focuses on connecting with the realm and the inner soul. Spiritual health can be maintained by meditating, spending time in nature, connecting with people you love, engaging in activities that make you happy and most importantly taking care of yourself. Self-care is a spiritual practice.
